10 PHOTOS

I haven’t posted with great regularity on my blog this year, happily due to an incredibly successful year here at SNAP!  But I began a new project for
2016 with an incredible group of photographers called “10 on 10.”  We will link our blogs every 10th of the month, each of us telling
a story with our 10 photos.  I hope you join along for the journey this year! Links to the next photographer at the bottom of this page.
*****************************************

I am a lover of words, the way they roll off the tongue, the way they punctuate meaning into life if expressed fully & properly.
When my life made a U-turn in 2010 and I became a divorced mom of 2 babes, I leaned on words to infuse meaning into
my “outer” life space.  I had long been an expresser in my home environment through color and art and texture.  Yet when I purchased
my first home (all by my self) in 2012, I stepped into the visually melodic river of words–singly or strung together in quotes and
poetry–and began adding them in every nook and cranny of my nest as another way of expressing myself.

The words I sprinkle about my home are reminders, guiders, and friends.  They suggest and support.  They portend and provoke.
They have been gifts from friends/artists, and they have worked their way into my own photography & fine art.
I even wear them around my wrist as mantras to carry me throughout my year, professionally and personally.
Oh how I love words…..and this is but a smackerel of how they adorn my world.

PLEASE continue the journey of 10 on 10 with my friend and fellow photographer Audrey, of Mama Owl Photography.
Each month we will be adding 10 new photos and continuing the roll through all our blogs.

With deep affection,

Jenn

We are what we think and if we surround and take in words with great meaning, we can become those things. I completely love the 10-10 project and so many of you who are a part of it!ReplyCancel
