10 on 10 | FINAL PROJECT PRESENTATION | LOS ANGELES PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s that time again, 10 images on the 10th of the month that tell a story.  Follow the blog roll through the
other photographers this month for truly inspired photo-editorial stories!  NEXT UP,  Stephanie’s 10 on 10.

I use my 10 on 10 each month to tell the stories of myself and my kids.  So this month is no different.

6th GRADE & BEYOND!

At the end of each year at the charter school Birdie attends, the kids have to complete a “retrospective” of their year, to include how they grew
socially, emotionally, academically, and in any other way the kids want to mention.  They then present it to the parents and other
students in an open forum.

This is Birdie presenting her project to her family…in total darkness with slivers of light seeping through blackened out windows.
🙂

Explaining her project to her big brother.

Reading her poem.

I AM

“I am strong and an artist
I wonder about the future
I hear the stars twinkle
I see my future self
I want to be an inspiration

I am strong and an artist
I pretend that I am Ariel
I feel happy when I eat ramen
I touch a paintbrushes stroke
I worry about my future
I cry when I laugh hard

I am strong and an artist
I understand creativity
I say ALL people are equal
I dream that I’ll be a famous makeup artist
I try to be a good person
I hope that I’ll live a long healthy life

I am strong and an artist.”

Self portrait + chosen strength words.

CONFIDENT.  FEARLESS.  BRAVE.

Getting a squeeze from Nana.  So proud!  It was an AMAZING presentation, full of thoughtfulness, self-evaluation and maturity.

Way to go baby!!!

Stephanie - My heart may just burst from happiness! What a beautiful young lady she is becoming Jennifer. I love the joy and passion with which she shares her thoughts and the maturity to see herself the way she does…so beautiful. I too, pray that she always possesses the strength to see herself so clearly!ReplyCancel
