10 on 10 DECEMBER | PERCEPTION | Los Angeles Photographer

December!!  Closing out my project for this year, the last of the monthly 10 on 10 postings for 2016.
10 images in one day, revealed on the 10th of the month.

What a YEAR it’s been.  The only word that sums up 2016 in American in my opinion…..

Like the famous painting of a pipe, entitled, Ceci Nest Pas Une Pipe (This is Not a Pipe) by Rene Magritte, this is not a ball of crazy light.  🙂

10 photos on the theme of perception, a fantastic Koan–a paradoxical anecdote or riddle, used in Zen Buddhism to demonstrate
the inadequacy of logical reasoning and to provoke enlightenment–told in lights.

10 photos from start to finish, first discombobulated, then brought into sharp focus.

Next up, the amazing photography of MAITE PONS

Alison - I love what you’ve done this month – I didn’t even guess at first that it was your tree. It’s been such a pleasure 10 on 10-ing with you this year <3ReplyCancel

Leilani - Oh, wow. This is a powerful story, Jen. Those first two images translate my perception of DT as our president. Frenetic. Frightening.
I love how the story unfolds into realistic lights. So interesting and thought provoking. So good!! I’m going to miss sharing this project with you! Stay in touch xoReplyCancel
